MAJOR GENERAL (B) DATUK ABDUL HALIM NAWI
Major General (B) Datuk Abdul Halim Nawi was appointed as independent non-executive director of FutureWell Culture on 1 May 2020. A retired army officer, who served the country for 40 years. He has vast experience in management, administration, leadership, training and logistic obtained from the various important positions held throughout his service in the Malaysian Army.
Key positions held by Datuk Halim while serving the army included Principal Staff Officer at Contract Division, Ministry Of Finance, Commandant Royal Ordnance Training Centre, Director of Royal Ordnance Corps, Defence Attache at Malayasian Embassy Bangkok, Deputy Commander Army Logistics Command, Assistant Chief of Staff Logistics at Army Headquarter and Aide de camp to His Majesty The Yang DiPertuan Agong.
As an army officer, he attended various career courses locally and abroad. He holds a Diploma in Logistics Management from US Army Ordnance Training Centre, Maryland and Diploma in Strategic Studies from Armed Forces Defence College, Kuala Lumpur.
Upon his retirement from the Malaysian Army, Datuk Halim joined Syarikat PSG Capital Sdn Bhd and PSG Petroservices as Executive Chairman from 2012-2017. Currently he is the Chief Executive Officer and Project Director at EGI Biotek Sdn Bhd, overlooking Biofertiliser and Tissue Culture production in collobaration with Malaysian Nuclear Agency.
In recognition for his service to the country, Maj Gen Datuk Abdul Halim bin Nawi has been conferred various medals and awards of which, among those prominent includes Dato Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT) by DYMM Sultan Terengganu and Panglima Setia DiRaja(PSD) by DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Dipertuan Agong.
